There is no official date of the start of film. Some credit the beginning to short film
screenings in paris in december of 1895. After this, movies were soon being produced in
black and white, most under a minute with no sound. It was not until the 1920s
that film with sound became practical. Originally, movies were synchronized dialogue.
These films were known as "talkies", the first being "The Jazz Singer".
Most consider the first movie of color to be "The Wizard of Oz" and
"Gone with the Wind" however, there were a few predating them, such as the
1912's movie "With our King and Queen Through India". Since then movies have gone
on to provide people with countless hours of entertainment. This year, "Avengers: Endgame"
became the highest grossing movie of all time, with box office numbers of
$2.796 billion and passed James Camerons 2009 "Avatar".
A few movies will be coming out before the end of 2019. One that I am
personally excited to see is, "Joker", starring Joaquin Phoenix about
the famous batman villain and his origins. November 8th is the release date
to "Doctor Sleep", starring Ewan McGregor as Danny Torrance, after years of
the events of "The Shining". And December 20th is the release date of the final
Star Wars of the third trilogy, "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker".
Netflix has so much to watch on it, its hard to know whats good.
"Pulp Fiction" and "Inglorious Basterds" are both Quentin Tarantino
movies, and two of my favoites. "Hell or High Water" is another good One.
It follows two brothers, who in attempt to keep there family ranch, begin
robbing banks. If fantasy you like fantasy, the second and third "Lord of the Rings"
are available and are both awesome movies. Or if you want to watch an adventurer
and archeologist in a race to find the Ark of the Covenant, Raiders of the Lost Ark
is what you want to watch.
