The theme of my virtual page will be about delicious foods! What is food? By definition, food is a nutricious substance that any living being eats or drinks to maintain life and growth. While very true, that is not the only reason that people eat, otherwise we would be eating nutritional paste for the bare amount of healthy minerals and vitamins that one would get. However, that is not the case for everyone! "Food may be essential as fuel for the body, but good food is fuel for the soul" is a better way to describe the abstractness of food. It doesn't have to be ultimately fancy or sophisticated, food is whatever you like to eat!Every food has its origin which is what makes it so great. There are so many levels that one can achieve when it comes to food. Simple meals or fancy gastronomy, whatever it is, it has its own audience and appreciation. No matter what, there's something for everyone.
Food is a great way to connect people together. What better way for people from different cultures and backgrounds to connect than by sharing the warm meals that they ate growing up, the food that their parents taught them how to cook that will last for generations. Food is an amazing connection between people! Everyone has a favorite food, a meal that they love, or a snack that they enjoy to binge. With friends or family, you can find out a lot about someone based on their food preferences too!
Food is enjoyable because according to science, our brain releases pleasure chemicals when eating. Known as ingestion analgesia, which is known as giving pain relief from eating. The brain releases the chemicals that help comfort and satiate the body. Oh and also possibly MSG (that's a secret ingredient to make food taste good, try getting some!)') Speaking of which, restaurant food can taste much better than food made at home most likely because of the amount of sugar and butter that they put in it! Either that or it is because food taste much better when someone else is cooking it for you. mcdonald taste good mmmm
