Hello, thank you for your interest on this page.
Here you you will find some interesting
places to visit while staying in the city of
Tokyo. Whether you have interest in the
culutre of Tokyo, food, anime/manga, or
just casually looking for any places to go while staying
in Tokyo, this is the site for you!
Here are some interesting facts about Tokyo:
- Tokyo is well known as a city
but it is officially known as the "Metroplitan Prefecture". This is
due to Tokyo having a combination of elements
from prefectures and cities.
- Tokyo Tower [333m] as seen in the picture above,
was the tallest freestanding tower in the world in 1958-1967.
(beating the Eiffel tower by 9 meters).
- In 2010, Tokyo Skytree [634m] was built in Japan (Sumida,Tokyo).
Becoming Japan's/world's tallest tower. As well as the second tallest
freestanding structure in the world and still is today!

One place to visit in Tokyo is definitely Odaiba. Odaiba is a man made island
in Tokyo Bay, Japan. As you can see in the picture, there is a really pretty bridge in the back.
This is the rainbow bridge, where in the night time it changes the color to a nice
rainbow with its LED lights. It can also change to different color of choice depending
on the day or special occasions.
This is a perfect dating spot for couples as well. They have multiple shopping
malls to walk around in, a statue of liberty to take pictures with, a nice view
of the bridge with the Tokyo tower. There are many more things you can do and possibilities
are almost limitless. Amazing food, stores, and a great view makes a perfect place for
everyone to enjoy, especially for couples.

Second place to visit and which I personally recommend the most is
Akihabara. This is a location that has many department stores which has
anime, manga, games, electronics, and more. This place is highly recommended
if you like any of those mentioned. This is a must visit because you will
never see anything like Akihabara in any other countries, such as
the street is filled with anime ads and maids standing outside giving brochures to
a maid cafe.
This place is fun to goto for everyone. There are arcades down almost every block,
where you can win cute plushies and figurines. Food stands of local Japanese food
such a takoyaki; octopus dumplings, taiyaki; fish-shaped cake with fillings, and many more!
Overall, a must visit tourist place. Where would you go first?

Last place I would like to recommend is Shibya. Shibuya is a special
ward in Tokyo, a huge business area for commercials and a popular shopping district.
Shibuya has very interesting historical sights as well. One is the Hachiko
statue. This is a very well known statue near the busy station of Shibuya.
Hachiko is an Akita dog who stood very loyal to its owner. Waited evey day for the next 10 years
for the professor to comeback after his death (definitely check out the interesting history).
Now, it is used as a very popular meet up spot.
Again, this place is recommended for everyone but during a time like now with covid, it is
highly suggested to stay away, as it is always crowded with people. There is also the Shibuya
crossing which is near Hachiko statue. It is a well known crossing in Shibuya. It is popular because
it is the world's busiest crossing for pedestrians.
